“Love and Treason” by Ghost Brother
July 16, 2009
I ran across this song a few years ago on RedFizz. I don’t know anything about the band and in fact they may not exist anymore. (As such, I haven’t contacted them for permission to post, so if anyone from Ghost Brother runs across this, give the word and I’ll take it down.)
The internet teaches us that there is a lot of good stuff out there that will go largely unrecognized, for various reasons. “Love and Treason” is one of those things, a spirited sing-along that’s like a cross between E Street Band Springsteen and Guided by Voices. Those are just reference points, though, as it has a personality and style all its own.
